Creator FAQ
Questions,
answered simply.
How you get paid, how to cancel and which statistics to share, all in one place.
Getting started
Joining the network and how matching works.
Is it free to join GME?
Yes. GME never charges creators to apply, join the network or receive opportunities. If anyone asks you to pay to work with GME, please report it to us straight away.
Apply to join for freeWho can apply, and is there a follower minimum?
You need to be 18 or over and manage the profiles you submit, with a genuine audience and no bought followers or engagement. There is no single follower minimum, because audience fit, content quality and real engagement matter more than size.
Getting brand deals with a smaller audienceHow do I get matched with campaigns?
We review your profile against current and upcoming briefs. When a campaign fits your content and audience, we send you the opportunity with the deliverables, deadline, usage and fee. If there's no match yet, your profile stays on file for future campaigns.
Payments
PayPal, Wise or bank transfer, and when you're paid.
How do I get paid?
Choose the method that suits you, whether PayPal, Wise or a direct bank-to-bank transfer. You confirm your payout details before your first payment, and you can change your preferred method between campaigns.
When will I receive my payment?
After your content is approved, within the payout window written in your brief, for example within 14 days of approval. You always see the payout timing before you accept a campaign.
Which currency am I paid in, and are there fees?
Each brief states the fee and its currency. The amount in your brief is your creator fee. PayPal, Wise or your bank may charge their own transfer or currency-conversion fees depending on your account, so check them before choosing a method. Wise is often a good option for international transfers.
Do I need to send an invoice or tax details?
Before your first payout we may ask for a simple invoice and the tax details needed to pay you correctly. You're responsible for your own taxes unless the law requires us to deduct or report them.
Creator terms on fees and paymentWhat if my payment hasn't arrived?
Message your GME campaign contact or email support@globalmediaexpert.com with the campaign name. We'll check the transfer status with you and confirm a date. Bank transfers can take a few working days to clear after we send them.
Cancellations
Saying no, cancelling simply, and what happens if a brand cancels.
Can I say no to a campaign?
Always. Read the brief and decline anything that doesn't fit your audience, schedule or values. There's no penalty for declining before you accept.
How do I cancel after accepting a campaign?
Life happens, so just tell us as early as you can, ideally before you start creating.
- Message your GME contact or email support@globalmediaexpert.com with the campaign name.
- Tell us briefly why you need to cancel, so we can update the brand.
- We confirm the cancellation in writing, and that's it.
What happens if the brand cancels?
If a brand cancels after you've started work, we agree a fair payment for the work you've completed, as set out in the brief. If it cancels before you start, the campaign simply closes and you're free to take other work.
Will cancelling affect future campaigns?
A one-off cancellation with good notice won't. Repeated late cancellations make it harder to match you with time-sensitive briefs, so let us know early if your availability changes.
Content & statistics
Approvals, posting, and sharing your results.
Which statistics should I include?
Views or impressions, reach, likes, comments, shares and saves. Where the platform shows them, add average watch time, story taps and link clicks. Send the platform's own numbers, never estimates or edited screenshots.
Who sees my statistics?
Only GME and the brand you worked with, for campaign reporting. We never publish your statistics, and they help us match you with better-fitting campaigns.
Privacy policyDo I need approval before posting?
Yes, unless the brief says otherwise. Submit your content for review first. Revision requests stay within what the brief allows; anything extra is agreed with you separately.
Rights & disclosure
Ownership, usage and labelling paid content.
Who owns the content I create?
You do. The brand can use it only in the ways, channels and for the period set out in your brief. Paid-ad usage or exclusivity is included only if the brief says so.
Creator terms on ownership and usageDo I need to label sponsored posts?
Yes. Clearly label paid and gifted content as advertising. Use the platform's paid-partnership tool where available and a clear #ad at the start of the caption. Your brief highlights any country-specific rules.
